Ryan Cowler and Green Couch Games have created OutLawed!, a social deduction game sure to wrangle up some fun.
Some “brilliant” pioneer named this town “Bandit Bluff” and wouldn’t you know it, but it’s attracted a large population of dastardly ne’er-do-wells. Sheriff. Croc Holliday needs some help and is looking to hire a deputy. You must convince the Sheriff that you’ve given up your horse rustling, bank robbing, train heisting days to get the job, but beware as your outlaw compatriots are looking to lie their way into the same position.
OutLawed! can be played by 2-4 players. Each player gets 11 outlaw cards and each round you’ll be playing a card face down and proclaiming what the card is. Will you lie or tell the truth? Once all cards are played you figure out if you met the conditions to “Apprehend” the card. If you did, great! You get to add it to your jail. If not, then the card goes back to your hand. Outlaw cards will have conditions like “Dirty” Duke Tigre, who can only be caught if Lionel Manesworth was played in the same round.
Jess: OutLawed! looks fun and I love the art, but if you want a real look at it, we will be doing a full review soon! If you can’t wait, you can pick up a copy plus all the stretch goals for a pledge of $15 on Kickstarter.
