Sirius Dice Launches New Mystery Loot Box Program for Local Game Stores
Sirius Dice, the Brooklyn-based tabletop accessories company, has announced a new initiative aimed at making a trip to your local game store just a little more exciting. According to the company’s press release, the Sirius Loot Program is designed to support local game stores while giving tabletop players a fun way to discover surprise gear and collectibles.
Each Sirius Loot Box contains a random assortment of goodies. Per the press release, possible contents include unique Sirius-branded D20s, colored embroidered dice bags, 2D acrylic miniatures of fantasy characters (produced in partnership with Arcknight), and other mystery items. True to the tabletop spirit, Sirius describes a retailers roles as being “like an expert DM” — they set the rules and can run the program however they see fit.
That last part is key: according to Sirius, how the loot boxes are distributed is largely up to individual stores, so your best bet is to contact your local game shop directly to find out how they’re participating. Retailers interested in carrying the Sirius Loot Program can reach out to their Sirius distributor for ordering information.
Founded in 2018, Sirius has built a reputation as a go-to source for custom dice and tabletop accessories. The Loot Program feels very on-brand — a little randomness, a little community spirit, and hopefully a few dice you didn’t know you needed.
