Steve Jackson Games Names Sabrina Gonzalez CEO, Allison Page COO

Steve Jackson Games has a new leadership team! Steve Jackson, the company’s founder and President, is stepping down as CEO to focus his energy on game design and development. Taking over as CEO is Sabrina Gonzalez, a long-time staff member who has held roles across the company since joining in 2013, including Production Artist and Production Manager, and who has sat on the Board of Directors since 2021. She briefly left in 2025 to work in manufacturing, an experience she says gave her a wider view of that side of the industry.

Gonzalez said she’s most looking forward to working with the full SJ Games team. “We have a ton of great people who are veterans in what they do best, and I’m eager to see what the future holds,” she said. Her priorities as CEO include continued growth, developing new titles for future generations, and giving more support to the company’s classic lines. Among her favorite memories at SJ Games is designing the Munchkin Tavern art back in 2013, including a shirt signed by attendees, among them the late Munchkin Czar Andrew Hackard. Outside of work, she’s a party and dice game fan (dominoes tops her list) and plays piano, guitar, and ukulele.

Stepping into the COO role is Allison Page, who joined SJ Games in 2023 as Managing Editor. Before that she was Executive Artistic Director of Killing My Lobster in San Francisco and worked as a narrative designer in video games. “I’m a problem solver, and I’m passionate about setting clear expectations,” Page said of her goals. “I’m excited to untangle whatever comes my way and ensure the team has what they need.” She’s a self-described competitive party-game player who loves shouting and laughing at the table, and outside of work she’s spent over a decade as a comedy writer and playwright.

Steve Jackson Games has been publishing games, game books, and magazines out of Austin since 1980, with a catalog that includes Munchkin, Zombie Dice, Car Wars, the GURPS roleplaying system, Ogre, and Illuminati. Several of those classics, including Munchkin, Ogre, and Illuminati, have also made their way to Steam and other digital platforms. In 2025 the company brought Possum Creek, the studio behind Wanderhome, Yazeba’s Bed and Breakfast, and the upcoming Seven-Part Pact, on board as an imprint.
